Hello, my name is Sydney. I am the founder and lead psychologist at Restoration Point Psychology Inc. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I have dedicated my career to helping children and adolescents navigate their mental health journeys. In my practice, I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Play-Based Techniques, and Narrative Therapy. Additionally, I am currently working toward my certification as an Animal-Assisted Therapist.
While I deeply value my professional role, my background and life outside the clinic also shaped who I am. I grew up on a farm near Olds, Alberta, where I developed a lifelong passion for gardening and caring for animals. This upbringing taught me the importance of grounded values, genuine connection, and understanding the unique pressures of small-town life. I have always maintained a strong sense of play and a love for adventure. In my spare time, I enjoy being out at the farm, hiking, fishing, off-roading, and generally spending time outdoors. (And yes, I do still climb trees just to prove I can!)
Restoration Point Psychology is getting a little more paws-on! We are currently awaiting final "credentials" for our newest team member. As part of our upcoming Animal-Assisted Therapy services, this is teammate will be making their official debut shortly.
